Barcelona

Artists have been flocking to Barcelona, the pride of Catalonia. The Gothic Quarter is home to cathedrals, markets, and tapas bars. It is impossible to visit Barcelona today without seeing Gaudi’s distinctive and colorful architecture. It is more popular among the locals to speak Catalan than Spanish. In spite of high airfares, summer is high season for Spanish festivals that last all night. At the same time, the number of tourists is lower during shoulder seasons early in the year and late in the year. When you want to experience the beach and enjoy a brisk outdoor experience, winter is the perfect time to visit. Heat and humidity characterize Barcelona’s summer. August is a sweltering month, so locals usually take extended vacations. Spring and fall are the seasons when it rains more frequently than summer and winter. A stroll down side streets without being bothered by tourists is convenient in winter due to the low temperatures, which rarely fall below 40 degrees.
